MEET JASPREET KAUR GREWAL  

Spirited, Motivated and Passionate about Making a Difference

Jaspreet Grewal gives her all to whatever she does. She is persistent, determined and works with passion when she puts her mind to something. Ever since she’s been a little girl she has always aspired to do something big, really make an impact on the world. She tries to make the world a better place daily with her positive attitude, innovate ideas and bright smile.​

Jaspreet's passions include youth leadership, culture, the arts and human rights. Jaspreet started up both a bhangra club and student council at her high school. Jaspreet was also project manager for a charity event called "The Inside Ride", raising funds for childhood cancer research. Jaspreet has served as the first ever elected student council prime minister at her school, as well as two terms as captain of her school's bhangra team and is still an active volunteer in both her community/school. Jaspreet has accumulated over 400 hours of volunteer experience as she was a huge part of Brampton South's member of parliament Sonia Sidhu's campaign in 2015 as well as continues to volunteer alongside her today, she actively was a part of Zonta, an organization advancing the status of women, along with volunteering at multiple community events/fundraisers and both political and non-political campaigns. When she's not working hard to make a difference in her community or school Jaspreet enjoys reading, hanging out with friends/family, exploring, shopping and eating! 

In the future, Jaspreet aspires to be a social justice lawyer, fighting for other's human rights while also pursing a career in politics. She was a candidate for the Peel student trustee elections for the 2018 - 2019 school year to represent Peel North where #TEAMGREWAL was created. She may not have won the election, but she won something better. She won #TEAMGREWAL! Not only a team, but a family. The world better watch out, #TEAMGREWAL is inspired, motivated and passionate about making a difference in their community! The Vision is to work hard to get our youth voice heard TODAY!
